About Us

Humaniora Care and Support is the municipal provider in Solna City. We are responsible for two service housing facilities according to LSS. The target group for the operation is adults within the LSS group 1. We are currently looking for support assistants who can work at our service housing on Solnavägen 29 C and Törnbacken 8.

What Does the Job Involve?

As a support assistant, your main task is to work with the residents of the housing, individually with each one, ensuring that every individual feels involved and independent in their life. You do this by working methodically based on low affective responses and alternative augmentative communication (AAC).

Each individual has an implementation plan that describes how the individual needs support from you as the supporter. As a support assistant, your tasks include cleaning and laundry, delegated health and medical tasks such as medication management, cooking, personal care, support during meals, escorting during trips, and leisure activities such as swimming, exercise, and music. Administrative tasks such as writing journal notes in individual journals and booking transport services are also included.

The work is scheduled for all hours of the day and all days of the week. Weekend and on-call work is included.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone who has:

• a completed education from the child and leisure program or a completed education as a nursing assistant
• experience working in service housing according to LSS
• good communication skills and can express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish
• good computer skills and is a quick learner of new programs
• experience in methodological work such as low affective responses, alternative and augmentative communication, and other clarifying pedagogy.

As a person, you are stable, self-driven, and enjoy working on relationship-building. You carry out your work with great care and are perceived as a safe person. In the role of support assistant, it is important to be empathetic, flexible, and have good communication skills. You need to be able to take initiative, be solution-oriented, work well in a team, and enjoy collaborating with your colleagues.

The position is a temporary employment with a start date to be agreed upon. The work is scheduled for both days, evenings, and nights (on-call) during all days of the week, which means that weekend work is included in the position.
