About Us

Humaniora Care and Support is the municipal provider in Solna Municipality. We are responsible for group homes according to LSS. The target group for the operation is adults within the LSS person circle 1.

The group home is located at Nybodagatan 16 in Skytteholm, Solna.

What Does the Job Involve?

As a support assistant, your primary task is to work with those living in the residence, individually with each person, ensuring that every individual feels involved and independent in their life. You do this by working methodically based on low-arousal responses and alternative augmentative communication (AAC).

Each individual has an implementation plan that describes how the individual needs to receive support from you. As a support assistant, tasks include cleaning and laundry, delegated health and medical tasks such as medication management, cooking, personal care, support during meals, escorting during trips, and leisure activities such as swimming, training, and music. Administrative tasks such as writing journal notes in individual journals and booking transport services are also included.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone who has:

• A completed education from the child and leisure program or a completed education as a nursing assistant.
• Experience working in residences according to LSS.
• Good communication skills and can express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish.
• Good computer skills and is a quick learner of new programs.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience with method work such as low-arousal responses, alternative and augmentative communication, and other clarifying pedagogy.
• Other training in care and support or social work.

As a person, you are stable, self-reliant, and enjoy working on building relationships. You carry out your work with great care and are perceived as a safe person. In the role of support assistant, it is important to be empathetic, flexible, and have good communication skills. You need to be able to take initiative, be solution-oriented, work well in a team, and enjoy collaborating with your colleagues.

More Information About the Application

The position is a permanent employment with a start date according to agreement. The work is scheduled both day and evening throughout the week, which means that weekend work is included in the position.
