Welcome to develop with us. We are currently in an ongoing development process where we are implementing new Social Services Act with a focus on preventive work.

The goal is to improve people's path to independence and self-sufficiency while also addressing the future needs of social services.

We work with the MIX method (Motivational Interviewing and Instrument X), and MI is an important approach in our work. In addition to our employees receiving basic training, we also hold method meetings where social workers share experiences with a supervisor to develop their professional skills in these matters. We use the standardized assessment and evaluation tool Instrument X. We collaborate with many different actors both internally and externally.

We are now looking for two social workers for full-time positions.

Your assignment

Your task is to help people achieve self-sufficiency. To succeed in this, it is important that you are good at collaborating internally with colleagues within the municipality as well as externally with the employment agency, social insurance agency, psychiatry, and primary care, among others.

In your work, you will meet people applying for financial assistance, investigate their applications, make decisions, implement decisions, and offer advice and support services. It is important that you have the ability to build relationships and establish contact with people in vulnerable situations. The work as a social worker requires that you are good at meeting people in crisis and that you have a humanistic perspective with faith in people.

Currently, about 20 employees work at the reception, including management with a group leader and a unit manager.

What we are looking for in you

To fit the role of Social Worker with us, we want you to have:

• A degree in social work
• Good knowledge of the social insurance system
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing in Swedish
• Experience in social work with financial assistance is an advantage
• Experience in MI is an advantage

• You are calm, stable, and have the ability to maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work as an authority.
• You have excellent collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive manner, enjoying working with other professionals, always with the individual in focus.
• You value diversity and understand that different backgrounds, cultures, and group affiliations can affect oneself and others in various ways.
