HVB-Institutet i Roslagen AB is a company with extensive experience in social work and currently has permission to operate a residential care home for youth as well as consultant-supported emergency and foster care. We have formal education and competence, adequate experience, and above all, a high work ethic with our youth's individual needs in focus.

We are currently looking for one to two staff members who can work awake night shifts for a limited period. Milton HVB is located in central Norrtälje. Milton is a small family-oriented residential care home with 5 places. The target group is children and young people aged 14–18 years with social issues and extensive behavioral problems. We accept placements according to SoL and LVU.

We work based on the KOBTIVA method – Cognitive and Behavioral Training in Everyday Life – an evidence-based treatment method for young people with social problems. Our goal is to provide a safe, structured, and predictable environment. We train our youth to create and maintain functional behaviors that are lasting over time.

To be qualified for the position with us, at least two years of post-secondary education in social work is required. By this, we mean that you are trained as a treatment pedagogue, therapist, treatment assistant, or social pedagogue. It is also acceptable if you are trained as a behavioral scientist or social worker. If you have specific experience with the target group, this is an advantage, as well as knowledge regarding Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and knowledge about Neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF) and mental health issues among children and youth. Furthermore, it is advantageous if you have experience working with extensive behavioral problems.

As a person, you are warm and empathetic, communicative, and attentive. You are curious and responsible for yourself as well as for the youth, and you strive to be a clear and good role model. Furthermore, you should be patient, secure in yourself, and able to handle conflicts constructively while maintaining calm in stressful situations. You understand the importance of having a shared view regarding the treatment work. You have a good ability to set clear boundaries while being flexible in a dynamic environment. You have a very good ability to create professional and safe relationships where you can also stand firm in potential conflicts.

The method requires you to express yourself well in speech and writing and have good computer skills, as documentation is an important tool in the work. We place great importance on personal suitability, and a requirement is that you have experience in treatment work at a residential care home for youth.

Please note that this position requires you to have a B driver's license for a manual car.
