About us

Diakonvägen is a group home with 5 people who have relatively high support needs in their daily lives. All residents have their own apartments, and the group home also has common areas such as a kitchen and living room.

Our employees work to ensure that those living at Diakonvägen can live and reside as similarly to other people as possible and receive support with their daily needs. The work is always based on the individual’s wishes. We actively work with social documentation and implementation plans. There is a full-time support pedagogue on the unit.

About the position

We are looking for two permanent support assistants for Skälbyvägen at 100%. As a support assistant, a workday may include support with personal care, support in leisure activities, or cooking. This includes working with all our residents according to the implementation plans and routines that exist in the unit.

You will support all our residents with the help they need in their daily lives. This can involve everything from cooking, cleaning, leisure activities, and support with personal care. The position also includes being a contact person and having a bit of extra responsibility for one of our residents.

The working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for someone who has:

• Education as a nursing assistant or other education that can be assessed as equivalent in working with people with disabilities
• Experience working within LSS
• Experience in care work
• Experience working with tube feeding
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience/knowledge of clear pedagogical methods and AAC
• Experience in rehabilitative work
• Experience in documentation in Pulsen Combine

Furthermore, you are secure and relationship-building, which for us means that you can listen to the users' emotional state and adjust your actions based on their needs. We also believe that you need to be structured to fit the role, systematically working with the user's development and documentation.
