Who are we?
The Social Office in Norrköping Municipality focuses on the strengths and needs of individuals, where the best interests of children always come first. We want it to be easy to get in touch with us, and we offer high-quality support and treatment interventions based on legally secure assessments. By working closely with individuals, we aim to find solutions that make a difference and contribute to a safer society.
The social emergency service and reception are part of our authority's operations, where we meet people in various life situations, of all ages. We are continuously working on development, where quality assurance is an important part, and where every employee plays a significant role in developing the operations. We believe in helping each other, learning from one another, taking responsibility, and together creating a sustainable and stimulating work life.
We are now looking for two colleagues for the reception and one colleague for the emergency service who want to be part of our journey. We offer you an engaged work group with extensive experience and a strong focus on the best interests of the users. With us, you will have a sustainable work environment where both your skills and ideas are welcome.
Your tasks
As a social worker in the social emergency service and reception unit, you will work with the initial and urgent cases of social services. You will receive and process applications and reports of concern, conduct preliminary assessments, and initiate investigations as needed according to applicable legislation (SoL, LVU, LVM, and LBSB).
The work includes both daytime work at the reception and emergency work according to a schedule. In the reception, you will be responsible for new incoming cases and serve as the first contact for social services, closely collaborating with internal and external actors such as schools, police, and healthcare. Working hours are weekdays during the day, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexible working hours.
Within the social emergency service, you will handle urgent social cases, such as those concerning domestic violence, children at risk, and substance abuse. The work involves quick assessments, prioritizations, and decisions in collaboration with other actors. The emergency service also includes the collaborating municipalities of Finspång, Söderköping, and Valdemarsvik.
The work is scheduled over a five-week period, with two weekends out of five and evening shifts from 3 PM to midnight. On-call duty at home occurs until the office opens and is staffed by two to three social workers per shift.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and documented experience in authority operations, case management, and documentation within social services.
You have knowledge of current legislation, specifically the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act on Special Provisions for the Care of Young People (LVU), and the Act on the Care of Addicts in Certain Cases (LVM).
You are confident in your professional role as a social worker and have a good ability to make independent, legally secure assessments even in complex and urgent situations.
You thrive in a fast-paced work environment, can prioritize and make decisions under time pressure, and maintain calm and structure in stressful situations.
You are communicative and clear in both interactions with people and in documentation, easily building trusting relationships and adapting your approach to the individual's needs.
Collaboration is a natural part of your work style, and you actively contribute to good cooperation with colleagues and external actors.
You are attentive, flexible, and value teamwork.
A driving license for a manual transmission vehicle is a requirement.
We offer you a functional supplement of 4,000 SEK per month if you work with children and youth, as well as wellness benefits.
Welcome with your application!
