We are now looking for someone to take on the role of Network and IT Security Administrator, a key position where you will contribute both operationally and strategically to our technical development. You will be part of our Service and Digital Services group, which is responsible for support, client management, networks, and data centers. The group consists of 12 dedicated colleagues, and the entire department for Service, IT, and Security comprises about 35 employees.

Your Role

As a Network and IT Security Administrator, you will be an important part of our IT operations, focusing on networks, security, and infrastructure. You will work in a team with competent and helpful colleagues, where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and development are at the center. The position involves working with:

• Operation and further development of network and security solutions
• Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network equipment and firewalls
• IT security – from vulnerability assessments and incident management to security strategies
• Ensuring compliance with security requirements (GDPR, NIS2, etc.)
• Designing backup and recovery solutions
• Active participation in IT projects where your expertise makes a difference

You will work both strategically and hands-on, in an environment where you are given great trust and freedom under responsibility. Additional tasks may be included in the position.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree at least at the undergraduate level
• Current knowledge of network design, administration, and security
• Experience with switching, routing, and firewalls
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English
• Documented good collaboration skills

We will also value the following assessment criteria during the hiring process:

• Experience with Fortinet products and certification (at least NSE level 4)
• Knowledge in antivirus, spam management, and logging
• Ability to work independently, structured, and with good documentation
• A positive and service-oriented attitude with a pedagogical approach
• Additional certifications in the networking area, such as higher levels of NSE and CCNA

Employment type: The position is a permanent employment. The university may apply a six-month probationary period.
