Habilitation & Health Tolk is now looking for a technician based in Skövde.

The interpreting service is aimed at individuals who are deaf, individuals with deafblindness, individuals with hearing impairments, and individuals with disabilities affecting voice, speech, or language. Our service is also for individuals who come into contact with the aforementioned groups. The interpreting service offers everyday interpretation throughout the Västra Götaland Region. The interpreting service is available 24/7, all year round. The purpose is to make communication possible based on the needs of the interpreter user through various interpreting methods. The interpreting service is provided with high accessibility and broad competence. The staff of the interpreting service consists of sign language/deafblind interpreters, transcription interpreters/adult deaf interpreters, speech support interpreters, and administrative personnel.

The interpreting service is divided into Northern Interpreting Area with offices in Vänersborg and Skövde and Southern Interpreting Area with offices in Gothenburg and Borås, as well as an administrative unit with an office in Vänersborg. Job Responsibilities

As an IT Technician with us, you will:

• Provide support to users both on-site and remotely
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, mobile devices, and other equipment
• Troubleshoot networks, systems, and software
• Support staff and external users in how to best use technology
• Participate in smaller projects and development work within the IT field
• Contribute with pedagogical guidance when digital tools need to be explained or introduced
• Support the functionality of various digital communication channels during interpretation

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• High school education, 3-year, with a focus on IT, technology, or equivalent knowledge
• It is advantageous if you have any pedagogical training within the IT field
• Good technical knowledge of computers, networks, and Microsoft services
• Ability to provide clear, calm, and tailored user support
• Experience or interest in pedagogy – e.g., courses, assignments, or experience guiding others
• Experience from habilitation and rehabilitation activities is an advantage
• Good collaboration skills and service mindset
• We place great emphasis on personal suitability
• A valid driver's license is required as the job involves travel
