Do you want to make everyday life easier for the municipality's citizens while providing a safe, professional response to questions regarding social support and care? We are now looking for a community guide for our specialist group in this area. Here you will work broadly, develop continuously, and make a concrete difference every day.

About Us

Citizen Service is part of the Municipal Management Administration and includes Customer Center and Internal Services. In the Customer Center, everyone works as generalists with the most common questions from citizens. In addition, each employee is part of one of three specialist groups. The unit consists of about 25 employees who work closely together in an open office landscape with good support from colleagues, processes, and written instructions.

Your New Job

As a community guide, you will primarily meet citizens via phone, but also via email, the web, and in-person visits. You provide clear and accurate answers, guide citizens correctly in the municipality's world, and ensure a safe and professional response in both short connection calls and longer, more complex cases. The pace can sometimes be high, making the work varied and stimulating.

Specialist Area: Social Support and Care

In the specialist group, you will handle in-depth questions regarding, for example, reports of concern, financial assistance, invoice issues, and applications for care. The group also receives visitors and is responsible for certain administrative tasks, including mail handling for the Social and Labor Market Administration.

Common Tasks

  • Handle both simpler questions regarding the entire municipality and more complex questions within social support and care.
  • Document and register cases in various operational systems.
  • Receive and assist visitors in the Customer Center.
  • Be responsible for mail handling for the Social and Labor Market Administration.

We Offer

  • An engaged team where we support each other, share knowledge, and have fun together
  • Meaningful work with significant societal benefit and close citizen contact
  • Clear work methods, documentation, and support in everyday life
  • Good opportunities for learning and development within both generalist and specialist assignments
  • Working hours: 08:00–17:00, weekdays
  • Location: Municipal House, Customer Center

Requirements

  • Positive, energizing, and solution-oriented; you take initiative and spread good energy
  • Excellent service attitude and pronounced service sense, always with the citizen in focus
  • Enjoy collaboration and workdays in a changing environment
  • Good ability to prioritize and keep focus on what is most important at the moment
  • Tech-savvy and quick to learn new IT systems; can handle computer and phone simultaneously
  • Very good Swedish in speech and writing, as well as comfortable in English
  • Personal disposition and professionalism that enable you to and want to help socially vulnerable individuals

Meritorious

  • Degree in Social Work or other relevant post-secondary education deemed equivalent
  • Experience from public authority work or working with socially vulnerable individuals
  • Customer service experience via phone, where you have spoken with citizens/customers most of the day (describe this in your cover letter)

We apply competence-based recruitment. The selection includes recruitment tests and work samples related to the assignment. We place great importance on your personal qualities.

A greeting from your future manager: With us, you get the chance to make a difference for our citizens every day, in an environment that is both varied and educational. We support each other, share knowledge, and have fun, always with citizen benefit as our compass. I hope you become curious about being part of our team!

Recruitment Process

Interviews may occur on an ongoing basis. We ask that you attach your CV and cover letter to your application. Grades/certificates do not need to be sent in. We will ask you to provide these if it becomes relevant for an interview.
