We are looking for a person who can work as a branch manager for the library in Hoting. The library operations in Strömsund Municipality are part of the Culture and Leisure Department and consist of a central library in Strömsund and four branches in Hoting, Backe, Hammerdal, and Gäddede. We also have a bookmobile that operates on a schedule throughout the municipality.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities include serving borrowers, shelving books, and distributing media to other libraries in the municipality. You will be responsible for purchasing media for the branch. You will also be responsible for events organized at the branch. Work outwardly to reach new target groups and borrowers. You will have support from the Central Library in Strömsund in your work.

Citizen service. You will help find the municipality's e-services and information on the web. Assist in printing forms, tickets, etc. In collaboration with the police: assist with applications for extracts from the criminal record and applications for weapon permits. Municipal information, for example, the municipality displays detailed plans at the library.

The libraries in Strömsund Municipality are information points during crises in the municipality that are activated in the event of a disturbance to disseminate information when society does not function as usual.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with good computer skills and an interest in literature.

You are a service-oriented person who enjoys meeting other people and has local knowledge of the area. You can work independently within given frameworks. We are looking for someone with a high school diploma and good knowledge of Swedish and English. As a person, you are outgoing, responsible, self-driven, and service-oriented.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.
