Work and Integration is a unit within Social Services. We are constantly working to improve our ability to help people enter the workforce or education. We currently need a job consultant who enjoys motivating people to take on challenges and reach their full potential, as well as providing support for individuals, employers, and educational providers in that process. In 2026, we will have the opportunity to develop our work on validating competencies among our participants based on the OCN method. The Open College Network (OCN) is a method/model for validation and quality assurance of learning and competencies.

The Social Administration consists of 600 employees with a broad range of responsibilities. The administration is divided into five operational areas and is present throughout the municipality. Here, we are responsible for providing care and support, services, as well as health and medical care to citizens in need, at all stages of life.

A Day as a Job Consultant at Work and Integration

The role of a job consultant involves mapping individuals' conditions for work or studies, as well as guiding, supporting, and matching them to work or studies.

Work and Integration has project funding from ESF to develop the competencies of individuals and support those far from the labor market into work or studies.

You will work with participants both individually and in groups. You will have close contact with employers, both private and public. A significant part of the work involves collaboration with other actors in individual cases. As a job consultant, you will document and follow up on the individual's planning.

Work and Integration in Krokom operates based on the BIP study and uses IPS-inspired methods to achieve the best results.

Your Competence

Requirements:

• You have an academic degree in a relevant field such as social work, behavioral science, career counseling, or occupational therapy.
• Experience working with newcomers, long-term unemployed, or individuals with mental health issues.
• You have a strong interest in labor market and education issues and are solution-oriented.
• You have the ability to work independently as well as a well-developed ability to collaborate.
• Good documentation skills.
• Comfortable leading group activities.
• Driver's license (B).

Desirable:

• Experience working with the IPS method or MI (motivational interviewing).
• Knowledge of the results from the BIP study.
• Training in the OCN method or experience working based on it.
• Personal suitability will be given great importance.

Other Information

Project employment 100% until the end of the year (with the possibility of extension) starting as soon as possible.

Relevant training will be offered if needed.
