The Child and Student Health Service is the joint organization of the Department of Education and Child Services for health support for schools and, to some extent, preschools in Östersund municipality. Within the unit, school nurses, school doctors, counselors, psychologists, speech therapists, educators, and special teachers/special educators with specialized skills work. A total of about 60 employees work within the unit. The Child and Student Health Service also includes Special Education at the hospital and a Skolfam team.
Your new job
As a coordinator for the attendance team, you are organized in the Central Support Team (CST) under the Child and Student Health Service where your manager is located. CST is a multiprofessional team with different areas of work, which also includes special teachers, special educators, and speech therapists. CST is based in the Municipal House but has all the municipality's schools as its workplaces and meets continuously through professional meetings where incoming cases are coordinated while also focusing on development in the professional role.
Together with two coordinator colleagues, you have a key role in the municipality's attendance work and are responsible for coordinating efforts from home, school, social services, and BUP/BUH for students with problematic school absenteeism. This is done through the establishment of Attendance Teams where different community agencies are involved, and the coordinator's role is to lead and facilitate the work.

Common tasks
- As a coordinator, lead attendance team meetings and manage necessary contacts with families and other participants between meetings.
- Consultation and guidance on attendance issues.
- Training and lecture initiatives regarding school attendance aimed at staff and guardians.
- Some cross-municipal strategic work on attendance issues may be relevant.
Your qualifications
Requirements
- Relevant higher education/university degree such as a teacher or social worker.
- Experience of working in schools.
- Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
- Driver's license.
- Computer skills.
Meritorious
- Work with attendance issues in schools.
- Experience using Prorenata.
