The Education Administration is responsible for preschool, pedagogical care, after-school programs, preschool classes, primary schools, adapted primary schools, secondary schools, adapted secondary schools, municipal adult education, special education for adults, Swedish for immigrants (SFI), youth centers, and cultural schools.

Preschool and after-school activities are available at all seven F-6 schools, geographically spread throughout the municipality.

Altorpskolan, which is the only 7-9 school in the municipality, receives students from all our F-6 schools and is strategically located in central Herrljunga. Kunskapskällan, the municipality's secondary school, is also located in Herrljunga.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a teaching assistant with us, you will be part of a team around a smaller group of students. In our adapted primary school, you will work closely with the responsible special teacher/special educator and collaborate with other professional groups at the school.

Together with teachers, you are responsible for creating a good school environment and good conditions for students' learning, development, and care.

The work requires you to have the ability to build trusting relationships by meeting students, guardians, and colleagues in a way that promotes trust and security. You understand the importance of patience and calm when working with students who have special needs. You need to have experience and good knowledge of working with low-arousal approaches to handle challenging situations.

We strive for a learning environment where everyone can apply alternative communication as support (AAC). Our goal is for every student to feel safe, feel involved, and for the learning environment to be understandable, manageable, and meaningful.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a teaching assistant in an adapted primary school, you need to be flexible and able to adapt to the needs of the student group and individual students. You also need to have a good ability to manage close collaboration with colleagues.

Experience working in adapted primary schools and LSS short-term housing is advantageous.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
