On behalf of our client, Avanzera is now seeking an HR Specialist in labor law and employee relations with Nordic responsibility. The role covers Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark and is suitable for those who thrive in the intersection of advisory, operational HR work, and labor relations.
The assignment is with a globally leading pharmaceutical company with a strong value base and a focus on quality, ethics, and development. Here, you will find a stimulating work environment, the opportunity to work with complex and meaningful issues, and good opportunities for both professional and personal development.
You will play a central role in supporting managers, HR colleagues, and the business in labor law issues and contribute to a safe, professional, and well-functioning work environment.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will work with both employee relations and labor relations. You will be responsible for managing personnel matters in a structured, consistent, and trust-building manner while providing advice on policies, labor law, and local regulations in the Nordic countries.
You will collaborate closely with the business in the Nordics but will also have many international contacts.
The role includes the following responsibilities:
Employee Relations:
- Manage and investigate personnel matters, for example related to disciplinary actions, policy interpretation, performance issues, and conflict management
- Ensure that matters are handled legally, consistently, and in line with current legislation and internal guidelines
- Respond to questions from managers and employees regarding HR policies, labor law, employment conditions, and performance management via the case management system
- Take clear ownership of your cases and drive them to completion with high quality
Labor Relations:
- Prepare, conduct, and administer collaboration, information meetings, and negotiations
- Be the contact person for union representatives and other employee representatives in the Nordics
- Contribute labor law expertise and a business-oriented perspective in union processes
The role also includes building and developing trusting relationships with managers, employees, HR colleagues, and union parties. You will participate in larger labor law processes such as reorganizations, restructurings, M&A, and divestitures, and contribute to improvement work related to HR processes and working methods. If necessary, you will also participate in projects and other relevant tasks.
Your Background:
We are looking for someone who:
- Has an academic degree in HR, human resources, and/or labor law
- Has at least 2-4 years of experience working with employee and labor relations in all Nordic countries: Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark
- Is accustomed to working in an international and complex organization
- Has good project management skills and is confident in dialogue with various stakeholders
- Is structured, meticulous, and has a good ability to follow up and complete cases
- Has strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented approach
- Works with high integrity and is confident in handling confidential information
You are quality-conscious, professional, and have a genuine commitment to both the business and the employees.
To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who speaks Swedish and English fluently in both speech and writing.
