We are looking for
We are looking for an engaged and solution-oriented person who wants to help establish our computing service and ensure that it delivers maximum benefit to the organization. You will be a central part of our work to create smart and efficient services.
In this role, you will work closely with the organization to monitor functionality, manage any challenges, and contribute to the further development of the service. You will ensure that everything runs smoothly in everyday life and drive improvements that make a difference for our users.
Content and Responsibilities
As an IT engineer, you will have a key role in ensuring that our computing and AI solutions function stably, securely, and efficiently in a complex enterprise environment with local infrastructure.
You will be responsible for continuous monitoring and optimization of performance, incident management and troubleshooting, as well as ensuring that data flows and data quality are maintained. The work is carried out according to established processes for operations and documentation, and you will ensure that the solutions comply with applicable security and compliance requirements.
The role also involves actively contributing to the further development and optimization of computing and AI services in close collaboration with the organization, aiming to create robust and future-proof solutions. You will be part of our infrastructure team, working together to ensure the IT infrastructure of Malmö University.
Qualifications
For this position, the following is specifically required:
- Experience with Linux and container solutions
- Experience with virtualization (VMware vSphere)
- Basic understanding of computing environments
- Good collaboration skills and experience working in a delivery-oriented manner
Particularly meritorious for this position:
- Experience in enterprise environments
- Experience in the public sector/authorities
- Experience managing container orchestration
Workplace
The position is located at the IT Infrastructure unit within the IT department at Malmö University, in the heart of Malmö.
Our goal is to deliver a modern and functional IT environment. The IT operation is an integrated and developing part of the university's learning environment. We work with development and change work, operations, and support of the university's common IT environment.
