Job Description

Do you want to be part of developing the next generation of railway control systems? You will be employed by us at Randstad and assigned to our client in Hässleholm. Here you will have the chance to work with safety-critical embedded systems that make a real difference – every day we contribute to greener and smarter mobility worldwide.

As a software developer with us, you will step into a world of complex systems and exciting technology. You will work closely with passionate colleagues and be responsible for the entire lifecycle of our projects – from technical analysis and design to implementation and maintenance.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and test software with a focus on C/C++
  • Perform technical analyses of problems and design new functionality
  • Work with requirements specification and safety analyses (root cause and impact).
  • Handle bug fixing and provide technical support to our customers
  • Dive into railway signaling, ERTMS, and CENELEC standards

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical analysis of problems, troubleshooting reports, and new requested features
  • Design, implement, and integrate new software functionality
  • Perform maintenance and bug fixing
  • Work with requirements specification
  • Conduct root cause, impact, and safety analyses
  • Provide customer support

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent
  • Previous work experience in software development (preferably for embedded systems)
  • Good knowledge of C and C++
  • Experience with Linux-based systems and tools such as Git, GitLab, and Jenkins
  • Fluent in both Swedish and English
  • A strong communication ability and decision-making skills
