Our Operations

Ösbyskolan is a well-established F-9 school with around 700 students and 90 dedicated staff members.

Since its inception in 1996, we have built an operation that combines safety and tradition with innovation and development. The school is centrally located in Gustavsberg, Värmdö municipality, only 25 minutes from Slussen, with modern facilities and good transportation links.

Your Mission

We are now looking for a safe and engaged resource educator for grade 5. The role has a clear focus on breaks, transitions between lessons, and work at the school's after-school club, and is an important part of the school's preventive work for safety, study peace, and good relationships.

As a resource educator, you are a present and clear adult in the school's everyday life. You are there where the students are – during breaks, in corridors, during transitions, and in the after-school club activities – and support students in social interaction, play, and conflict resolution. You help students to be on time, find focus, and create calm before lessons, and contribute to a safe and meaningful after-school environment.

The role involves working preventively, picking up early signals of concern or conflicts, and acting calmly, consistently, and respectfully. You collaborate closely with mentors, teachers, and student health, and share your observations to provide students with the right support at the right time.

We are looking for someone who is mature, stable, and secure in themselves, and who can set clear boundaries without being harsh. You are relationship-building but not a friend, and stand up for the school's values in both word and action. You have a good ability to read social situations and can work in a low-arousal manner even when things are chaotic or emotionally charged.

You have experience working with children aged 10-12, preferably in schools, after-school activities, or similar contexts. Experience with conflict resolution, safety-promoting work, or NPF is an advantage. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

The position is a temporary contract as the regular educator is on leave for teacher studies. There is a possibility of extending the temporary position one term at a time.

A police record extract is required for employment.

Your Experience

• Experience working in schools or with youth is a requirement.
• Experience with NPF support, after-school leader training, or social pedagogical education is an advantage.
• Good Swedish in speech and writing.
