Temporary Position as ICT Educator at Konstfack

Konstfack is Sweden's largest artistic university in the fields of art, design, and crafts. Since 1844, we have educated a variety of professional groups within these fields as well as visual arts and crafts teachers. The library has six employees, including a library manager, three librarians, and two higher education pedagogical developers, one focused on information and communication technology and one focused on writing. One of our higher education pedagogical developers will be on leave, and we are now seeking a temporary ICT educator.

Main Responsibilities

The responsibilities include:

• System responsibility for LMS (Canvas), video conferencing tools (Zoom), media platform (Kaltura), transcription tools (Sunet Scribe)
• User support and case management
• Account management, archiving, and disposal
• Development of educational materials such as guides and instructional videos, etc.
• Integration and implementation of new functionalities or tools
• System administration and documentation
• Contract management and procurement

The responsibilities also include:

• Supporting the university's teachers in choosing existing and new digital tools for learning
• Participating in the strategic higher education pedagogical training work through introductions and workshops
• Training for administrative staff in digital learning environments
• Monitoring the ICT pedagogical field and collaborating with other universities
• Evaluating and applying AI tools in teaching

Employment

The position is a temporary part-time position (75% of full-time) with a desired start date of 2026-03-30. The employment is ongoing, but no later than 2026-09-30, with the possibility of extension during any recruitment of new permanent staff.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a relevant university education, preferably in information and communication technology, or another area that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience in ICT pedagogical work and good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Experience teaching at a university level and working with the aforementioned systems is an advantage.

As a person, you are development-oriented and have a pedagogical approach. You are self-driven, meticulous, and structured. You are communicative and responsive to the needs of the organization as well as the perspectives of students and teachers. To thrive in this role, you should have a good ability to collaborate with the university's various functions, be flexible, and have a good sense of service.
