About the Role

As a fire watch, you are responsible for preventing and avoiding fires and accidents during hot work. You do this by conducting risk analyses, ensuring that permits are written correctly and safely, providing the right equipment for the work at hand, and ensuring that there is order and cleanliness at the workplace during hot work. The work primarily takes place during the day, but night work may occur.

You will, for example:

• Monitor the workplace when hot work is being carried out
• Conduct risk analyses
• Be responsible for equipment
• Work at heights and in confined spaces

Requirements

• Approved grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school
• Driver's license B

It is an advantage if you

• Have worked with similar tasks before
• Are trained in hot work
• Have a civil or military security guard training
• Experience working in industry

As a person, you are relationship-building and communicative and have an easy time seeing the needs of others. This is especially important as you will have close contact with the staff working with hot work and be responsible for their safety.

• The position is a need-based employment with start date according to agreement. We apply a 6-month probationary period
• Before employment, you will undergo training in Hot Work (if you have not completed it previously). We will of course cover the training costs.
• We work with selection tests

For employment within Securitas Sweden AB, it is required that you have approved grades from the first year of high school in Swedish and English and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to each regulation, a background check will be conducted. The assessment concerns legality, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from you, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when evaluating suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on the collective agreement between the employer organization Security Companies and Transport.
