Welcome to the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Clinic in Norrköping

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Clinic in Norrköping is part of the Psychiatric Center in Region Östergötland. The clinic primarily operates as a cohesive outpatient clinic focused on interventions for children and adolescents with moderate to severe psychiatric symptoms and neuropsychiatric variations.

The clinic currently consists of six treatment and assessment teams. It also includes a children's house and an infant unit. The clinic has approximately 90 employees, about half of whom are social workers or psychologists.

Job Description

As a social worker at the clinic, you will work with assessment, investigation, and treatment of psychiatric conditions that require specialist psychiatric care. You will work with families, meet children, adolescents, and parents, and collaborate with schools and social services.

Within the clinic, there are good opportunities for in-depth knowledge through mentorship, teamwork, and internal training. There are also good opportunities for your own further development and to participate in the development of the clinic's operations.

Work Group

You will be placed in a general psychiatric treatment and assessment team where you collaborate with various professional categories.

About You

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or behavioral science from a university. Basic psychotherapy training is an advantage. Experience working with children, adolescents, and families in treatment or psychiatric settings is also an advantage, as is being a licensed health and medical care social worker.

We are looking for someone who can work independently while also having excellent collaboration skills. It is crucial that you can easily collaborate with different professional groups and have a very good ability to meet children, adolescents, and parents in various life situations. You need to be able to plan, organize, and prioritize your work. The job requires significant personal maturity and flexibility. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
