JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Gävle Municipality is now looking for summer substitute social welfare officers for the Care Investigation Unit, a perfect opportunity for you who are studying to become a social worker or who have already completed your social work education.

As a social welfare officer, you will work with legally secure processing according to the Social Services Act (SoL), focusing on ensuring that the right intervention is provided to the right person at the right time. The work is done in teams, which provides both good supervision and a safe working environment, particularly valuable when you are at the beginning of your career.

Your tasks include:

• Processing according to the Social Services Act (SoL)
• Investigating individuals' needs and proposing decisions
• Following up on already approved interventions
• Advising and supporting citizens
• Planning, coordinating, and following up on decisions
• Collaborating with experienced social welfare officers, managers, and other partners

The interventions may include security alarms, home care, or care and nursing homes.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a Social Welfare Officer, you will investigate individuals' needs according to SoL and propose decisions regarding interventions such as security alarms, home care, or care and nursing homes. You will be an important person for us!

Qualifications:

• Ongoing or completed education in social work or social care programs
• Driver's license for manual transmission vehicles

Meritorious:

• Previous experience in processing
• Experience working in elderly care
• Experience with the documentation system Treserva
