Do you want to contribute to a socially important mission close to healthcare? Does it sound interesting to work with preventive and corrective maintenance, documentation, planning, and follow-up of service work for medical technology equipment? Now you have the opportunity to become part of our team as a service technician!
The service and support business area is primarily a technical operations organization responsible for maintaining the operational reliability of Region Skåne's medical technology products (MTP) throughout the product life cycle and assisting Region Skåne's various operations and partners with technical expertise and support in medical technology-related matters. The units within medical technology equipment in service and support have headquarters in Malmö, Lund, Helsingborg, and Kristianstad, but we also staff other hospitals around the region.
Our service technicians within the organization are divided into ten different equipment groups, which include: physiology, therapeutic equipment and diagnostic equipment, infusion pumps, ventilation, mechanics, endoscopy, surgery, ECG/EEG/Defibrillator, patient monitoring, and ultrasound. All headquarters in Skåne are staffed with one or more employees from each group, and you work closely with colleagues both at other locations and in other equipment groups.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As one of our colleagues is retiring, we are now welcoming a new service technician to support the equipment groups ECG/EEG/Defibrillators, patient monitoring, and ultrasound, based in Helsingborg.
As a service technician with us, you are responsible for maintaining the operational reliability of medical technology equipment within your area throughout the product life cycle, primarily through preventive and corrective maintenance. Your tasks also include planning and follow-up of service work together with other colleagues in the equipment group. Additionally, you are technically knowledgeable and participate in development work as well as handling installation, configuration, and disposal of medical technology equipment according to regional processes and routines. The group is led by an equipment manager who handles and drives cases regionally within their area.
As part of second-line support, you work with technical consultation, documentation, and planning and follow-up of service work. To effectively resolve and support incoming cases from various partners, you have daily contact with different healthcare organizations within Region Skåne and, in some cases, suppliers related to your area of responsibility. The content of the work may change to best meet our partners' needs. There are good opportunities for development within the field of medical technology, including through internal rotation and training.
We operate in all Region Skåne hospitals, and work at other locations than your base location may occur as needed. Working hours are during the day, Monday to Friday.
QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for the position, you must have at least a completed technical high school education or another education combined with work experience in troubleshooting and technical service work deemed equivalent by the employer. Additionally, you have good knowledge of both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. As travel may occur in the position, we prefer that you have a B driver's license for a manual transmission vehicle.
Previous experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of medical technology equipment is advantageous for the position. It is also beneficial if you have a technical college or university education, especially if you have studied a program with a medical technology focus.
To succeed in the position, we see that you are used to working process-oriented, solving technical problems, and documenting your work. As a person, you are curious, interested in technology, and thrive in a dynamic environment where conditions can change rapidly. In your work, you are structured, have a high service mindset, and are well aware of your abilities and limitations. Furthermore, it is important that you are responsible, meticulous, and reliable, as well as having good collaboration skills with both colleagues and customers and suppliers. Of course, you work according to Region Skåne's values. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and suitability.
