Administrator for Neurosurgery at Sahlgrenska University Hospital
Together, we are developing Sahlgrenska University Hospital for a sustainable future. We are transforming healthcare with the goal of becoming Europe’s leading university hospital by 2032. Together with patients, we work towards quality, accessibility, patient safety, research, education, and innovation – in a cohesive healthcare system in the Västra Götaland region. Our vision and goals aim for care of the highest quality, where the patient is always in focus. We provide healthcare locally and regionally, but also highly specialized care to patients throughout the country and abroad. Our employees are our strength, contributing to knowledge exchange both nationally and internationally. With digital tools and new working methods, we can simplify everyday life at the hospital and offer modern, accessible, and efficient care of the highest quality.
About the Department
The Neurosurgery Department at Sahlgrenska University Hospital (SU) is tasked with providing highly specialized care, diagnosis, and rehabilitation for patients with diseases and injuries of the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles.
The mission is directed towards patients within the Västra Götaland region and Halland, as well as to some extent nationwide. The Neurosurgery Department includes neurology, neurosurgery, clinical neurophysiology, and rehabilitation medicine, as well as an educational unit. Research is conducted within the Neurosurgery Department on the function and diseases of the brain and nervous system, as well as advanced-level rehabilitation. We have approximately 560 employees working within the Neurosurgery Department.
What do we offer?
You will be part of the department's central administrative unit along with about 40 colleagues who all have cross-functional roles within Neurosurgery. With us, you will have a diverse, developing role with the opportunity to influence future working methods. This is a maternity cover for at least 12 months with good prospects of becoming part of the team in the future.
Your Responsibilities
You will work with administrative tasks that have great variety, including referral management, patient interaction, patient contact via 1177 and phone, booking, and mail handling - in short, providing service. Digital working methods and systems will be an integral part of your daily work. Collaborate across the unit to develop our tasks and especially workshifting within the department.
About You
We value engagement, responsiveness, and initiative. You are a team player, easy to collaborate with, and have a twinkle in your eye.
Important qualities for us are that you are flexible and can be involved in several different processes and tasks simultaneously. You are positive, helpful, enjoy challenges, and are good at seeing both the big picture and details. We also believe that you are structured and enjoy working creatively with innovative ideas. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities as we care about a work climate built on a positive attitude, curiosity, and interest.
To thrive in the role, you also need the ability to adapt and influence future working methods, meet exciting changes, and want to work in a diverse role. Not afraid to question old truths and outdated working methods, and value colleagues' many years of experience.
Experience with 1177, Elvis, and Telia ACE is an advantage. Training in healthcare documentation/KY is also an advantage.
We may conduct selection and interviews continuously during the application period.
Warm welcome with your application!
