The Clinical Immunology and Transfusion Medicine (KIT) operational area operates at ten hospitals in Skåne and has over 200 employees. The operation is responsible for laboratory activities within clinical immunology, transfusion medicine, and transplantation immunology, as well as blood donation in Skåne. KIT has a mission to provide healthcare in Region Skåne with high-quality blood components to conduct modern healthcare concerning acute and chronic conditions. The operation is accredited, and some parts are centralized in Lund. We are organized in processes with a unit manager, a medical officer, and process leaders in close collaboration.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We now have the opportunity to welcome a biomedical analyst to the Flow Cytometry unit, KIT in Lund for a fixed-term full-time position until 2026.

Your tasks involve independently performing laboratory work, assessing and technically approving analysis results, as well as suggesting actions and troubleshooting as needed. This is done in close collaboration with the medical officers and your other colleagues. Furthermore, you will work on developing new working methods and routines to support improvements. You will also participate in the training and education of students.

With us, you will be offered a responsible, developing, and exciting job within the expanding field of cell therapy as well as cellular immunology and cytokines. For example, we analyze cells intended for stem cell transplantation and perform analyses related to immunodeficiency investigations. Here, we primarily work with flow cytometry and use both automated analytical instruments and manual methods. Since our laboratories are accredited, you are also expected to actively contribute to our quality work.

Your working hours are scheduled on weekdays during the day.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed biomedical analyst with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are a requirement. We would also like you to have previous experience in laboratory work, and it is an advantage if you have worked with analyses performed using flow cytometry.
