The pediatric and adolescent medicine department includes the hospital's units with an emergency department open 24/7 for medical patients aged 0-18, inpatient care for children and adolescents, a neonatal unit, day care, and scheduled outpatient clinics in Ängelholm, Landskrona, and Helsingborg. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking forward to welcoming a temporary nursing colleague to the pediatric and adolescent medicine department, placed in our day care unit that cares for children and adolescents aged 0-18. Our Day Care unit primarily focuses on pediatric medicine but also collaborates with other departments in the hospital, such as radiology and surgery.

Patients who come to day care need some form of treatment but do not require inpatient care, such as patients with oncological, nephrological, hematological, and gastrointestinal-related diseases. Additionally, patients come for blood tests and preparations for various types of examinations and procedures. As a nurse in day care, you will also be responsible for your own patients, whom you will follow and manage independently with the help of the responsible physician.

The position is a fixed-term employment lasting 16 months, with the possibility of extension.

QUALIFICATIONS

For this position, you must be a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare and have experience working in pediatric care. Proficiency in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale is also required. Previous experience in day care for children is an advantage.
