Your Role

As a Business Controller at Saab, within the Naval Combat Systems business area, you hold a business-critical role with a clear commercial focus in a complex and project-intensive environment. You are a central business partner responsible for driving profitability, managing risks, and ensuring business decisions throughout the project's lifecycle.

You have overall financial responsibility for one of the business area's larger projects and work closely with project management, steering groups, and sales. The role includes both early business phases and cost estimation work as well as ongoing monitoring, analysis, and control, where you actively challenge assumptions and translate numbers into business-driving insights.

You are an active member of the project's steering group and contribute with financial analyses, risk and opportunity assessments, and clear decision-making support at the management level. You report quarterly to the corporate management.

Responsibilities include:

• Overall financial responsibility for larger projects
• Budgeting, forecasting, and analysis work in close collaboration with project management
• Variance analysis, KPI monitoring, and business recommendations
• Financial support in proposal and bid processes

Your Profile

We are looking for a senior and business-oriented Business Controller who is confident in their role and experienced in working in complex project environments. You have a clear holistic perspective, high analytical ability, and use finance as a tool to drive business and make well-informed decisions.

You are communicative, relationship-building, and comfortable in dialogue with both project teams and management. With a structured approach and good judgment, you contribute insights that create value in the organization.

We would like you to have:

• A degree in finance or equivalent
• Several years of experience in qualified controlling work, preferably in project or industry-related environments
• Experience working closely with project management and steering groups
• Strong analytical skills and a good understanding of financial management
• Excellent knowledge of Excel and business systems
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.
