JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We welcome two nursing assistants who want to be part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, and more.

In the role of nursing assistant, you will work with common nursing assistant tasks within somatic care. Responsibilities include, for example, NEWS checks, sampling, wound care, tracheostomy care, feeding tubes, drains. You will meet patients with varied care needs where you, as a nursing assistant, need to be flexible and positive in a sometimes stressful work environment. Around the team, there are also service hosts, dietitians, social workers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and responsible nursing assistants, among others.

At Kava/ENT, we primarily care for patients with acute surgical diseases/conditions. The most common reasons for admission include abdominal-related diagnoses, acute bleeding, and traumatic injuries. We also care for a smaller patient group within the ear, nose, and throat specialty, where diagnoses may include jaw surgery, patients with tracheostomy, and facial trauma.

Acute nursing care also involves pre- and postoperative management. We receive patients at all hours of the day, with most admissions coming through the emergency department. The department is also responsible for the Ear, Nose, and Throat emergency department, staffed with doctors and nursing assistants.

For us, it is of utmost importance that you feel comfortable and secure in your role as a nursing assistant. As a new employee, you will receive an introduction with guidance tailored to you. We have experienced nursing assistants in the department who are happy to share their skills and experiences and support you in your new workplace. Region Skåne has a mandatory introductory package that you will participate in.

Evening, night, and weekend shifts are part of the positions. We use a wish schedule, and you will work two weekends out of five.
