Now you have the opportunity to be part of a new, specialized team for orthopedic inpatient rehabilitation at Hässleholm Hospital. Here, medical care is combined with active rehabilitation in a cohesive, person-centered, and interdisciplinary approach.
At Hässleholm Hospital, there is a strong operation in internal medicine, orthopedics, neurology, and rehabilitation medicine. In connection with a reorganization for increased quality and accessibility, we are refining our assignments and will open a new team focused on orthopedic rehabilitation from May 2026.
The Rehabilitation Medicine Department offers orthopedic inpatient rehabilitation for adult patients with acute orthopedic conditions of a non-surgical nature where coordinated rehabilitation efforts are needed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a nurse with us, you play a key role in the rehabilitation process. You follow the patient over time and contribute to the whole, continuity, and safety throughout the care period.
Your mission involves:
- combining medical care with a clear rehabilitative approach
- coordinating care, nursing, and rehabilitation based on the patient's goals and conditions
- actively contributing to rehabilitation planning, rounds, and team meetings
- supporting the patient's participation, motivation, and self-efficacy
- working closely with relatives before discharge and homecoming

For newly graduated nurses, there is also the opportunity to complete a clinical foundation year. The role involves being part of an interdisciplinary team with a strong collaborative culture as well as good cooperation with municipalities and well-functioning SVU processes.
The work climate is characterized by participation, respect, and present leadership. The booking schedule allows you to influence your working hours, and a safe introduction is combined with continuous support in professional development.
You will be an integral part of the interdisciplinary team together with nursing assistants, doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, dietitians, orthopedic engineers or technicians, pharmacists, and medical secretaries. Coordinators and SVU coordinators provide support in daily operations as well as in the discharge process.
QUALIFICATIONS
You are a licensed nurse with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare, or you are studying the final term of the nursing program. Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1 are required. You have an interest in rehabilitation, nursing, and long-term care relationships. Experience from acute care, geriatrics, neurology, or orthopedics is an advantage.
As a person, you are engaged, curious, and positive. You thrive in teamwork, take responsibility, and actively contribute to collaboration. You have the ability to adapt your working methods to the patient's needs and changing situations in everyday life. In your interactions with patients and relatives, you are attentive, empathetic, and professional, and you have a genuine interest in creating safety.
