Within the social care administration, about 1200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home care, disability services, and social psychiatry, individual and family care.
The Health and Medical Care Unit consists of nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation assistants, and HSL-USK. We work with patients aged 18 and older who need health and medical care at the primary care level in their homes, both in special and regular housing.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Do you want to work closely with people and make a difference in their everyday lives? The Health and Medical Care Unit in Ystad Municipality is now seeking a licensed Nurse. Our operations include care within Special Housing (SÄBO), Regular Housing, as well as Disability Services and Social Psychiatry (FoS). Here you meet patients where they are, in their homes and daily lives - with safety, continuity, and care in focus.
With us, you will have an independent and meaningful job, but never alone. You will be part of a dedicated team where we support each other, share knowledge, and work together to create good and safe care. The work is varied and allows for both professional responsibility and human encounters.
As a Nurse in home care, you are responsible for medical assessments, planning, and follow-up of care interventions. You work person-centered with the patient's needs at the center, manage medications, and collaborate closely with care staff, doctors, and other professionals. Documentation and work according to current legislation are a natural part of the assignment.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a licensed Nurse with professional experience and who feels secure in your professional role. You have the ability to work independently, make well-founded decisions, and take responsibility for your tasks, while valuing collaboration and good teamwork.
You meet patients, relatives, and colleagues with attentiveness, respect, and a warm approach, and have a genuine commitment to creating safe and person-centered care. You are structured, flexible, and easily adapt to varying workdays.
A driving license (B) is required as the work involves moving between different operations. Experience in municipal health and medical care, home care, elderly care, or disability services and social psychiatry is an advantage.
