The Geriatrics Department is an inpatient department with 24 acute care beds. The department focuses on acute geriatric and orthopedic care as well as rehabilitation. Here we work with the multimorbid elderly using a person-centered approach, where the varying disease picture of our patients provides a broad knowledge base for you as a nurse.

We work in interdisciplinary teams where you as a nurse, together with nursing assistants and other professionals, form the foundation of the daily care work. We offer you support from nursing leaders and pharmacists to facilitate your daily work. The close teamwork among all professional groups is crucial for the patient to receive the best possible care. Our focus is on patient participation and person-centered care, as well as close collaboration with municipalities and primary care before discharge to ensure continued good care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as a nurse, you are responsible for basic and medical care as well as risk assessment and preventive measures for the patients. Documentation is done in Melior and Mina planer.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with permission to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are a requirement. We would also like you to have experience working in elderly care and/or acute care. Additionally, it is advantageous if you have a specialist education in elderly care.
