Make a difference. Every day.
Do you want to combine clinical work with a clear responsibility for operations, care flow, and patient safety in neurological inpatient care? Then you should apply to us at the neurology department!
The neurology department in Ystad is in a development phase where we are working long-term to create stable care flows, high patient safety, and a sustainable work environment for our employees. To strengthen daily operations, we are now looking for an operations manager nurse who wants to combine clinical work with a clear leadership role and be a key person in the department's daily life.
With us, adult patients with neurological diseases and conditions are cared for, often with complex and varying care needs. The work is characterized by team-based care, collaboration between different professions, and a need for good structure, clear communication, and continuity in care.
The hospital in Ystad is an emergency hospital with operations around the clock and a broad mission within both acute and planned care. As a medium-sized hospital, we offer short decision-making paths, close cooperation between professions, and good opportunities to influence working methods and development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As an operations manager nurse, you will work clinically in patient-centered care while having a clear responsibility for the daily operations of the department. You have a leadership function without being a manager. The position is divided into approximately 50 percent operational responsibility and leadership and 50 percent clinical work as a nurse. The distribution may vary based on the needs of the operation, but both parts are central to the assignment.
The assignment also includes:
- being responsible for and following up on patient flow in and out of the department in collaboration with other units.
- promoting a patient-safe working method and good structure in daily work.
- introducing and supporting new employees in routines, working methods, and care flows.
- acting as a clinical support in complex care situations.
- contributing to a good work environment through presence, clarity, and a professional approach.
The position involves shift work, primarily during the day.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to work in Swedish healthcare. You have language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale. Experience in neurological care or other acute/inpatient care is an advantage.
As a person, you are unpretentious and secure in your professional role, communicative, and responsible. You have the ability to create structure and collaboration in a day-to-day life that is sometimes characterized by a high pace and changing conditions. Furthermore, you have the ability to work systematically, make decisions, and lead colleagues in daily work. For the position, it is important that you possess good clinical assessment skills and the ability to see the whole picture. You contribute to a respectful and professional work climate and see the value of continuous development, both for the operation and for yourself. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
The role of operations manager nurse is an important part of the department's long-term development. With us, there is an opportunity to:
- deepen your clinical competence in neurological care
- develop in leadership responsibility and work with care flows
- participate in improvement and development work
- gradually broaden your assignment based on the needs of the operation and your own development.
In this recruitment, we apply ongoing selection. Warm welcome with your application!
