As a work environment engineer at Norrenergi, you play an important role in our systematic work environment efforts.You are actively involved in the entire process, from coordinating and following up risk assessments to conducting safety rounds, suggesting improvements for the work environment, and conducting spot checks with our contractors. This is a temporary position for 18 months with a chance of extension.

About the position

As a work environment engineer, you are an important piece of the puzzle in our systematic work environment efforts. You participate operationally in the entire process, from coordinating and following up risk assessments to conducting safety rounds, suggesting work environment improvement measures, and conducting spot checks with our contractors.

You work proactively in the organization, so it is important that you have good technical knowledge of machines and equipment in an industrial environment and can view these from a work environment perspective.

You conduct investigations and hold training and exercises on work environment issues for your colleagues, as well as coordinate exercises and training with external parties. Furthermore, you interpret regulations and AFS and ensure that routines exist, are followed, and are updated.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with relevant education, such as a YH/university degree in work environment or equivalent, as well as at least a few years of work experience in a similar role, preferably within an industrial operation such as process industry or power/heat. You have a B driver's license, good knowledge of Swedish, and a good understanding of work environment legislation.

To thrive in the role, we believe you are self-driven and enjoy pushing projects forward. You take the initiative for change and improvement and have a strong interest in creating an even safer environment here at Norrenergi, focusing on our production environment. Furthermore, we believe you are persistent in your work, as it can sometimes take time to implement new routines or working methods.

It is an advantage if you have experience as a safety representative and experience with regulatory authorities.

Currently, we are about 90 employees and our premises are located close to communications in Solna Strand with a view over Bällstaviken.
