Stockholm District Court is the largest district court in the country with around 300 employees. The court is led by the district court president and is divided into five adjudicating departments, each led by a chief judge, as well as an administrative department led by an administrative director. The administrative department works with internal and external services. The unit for central administration and security includes security guards and expedition guards.

The district court is also responsible for the high-security courtrooms at Bergsgatan 50, which serve as resource rooms for all courts in Sweden. They are located in close proximity to the district court and are used for security cases, high-risk cases, and cases of significant media interest.

Stockholm District Court is now looking for one or more security guards. You will be part of a workgroup led by a team leader. The security manager, who is responsible for the security guards, will be your immediate supervisor. As a security guard, you will work both in the district court's own premises and at the high-security courtrooms.

Job Responsibilities

As a security guard, you will be offered varied and developing tasks in an important and exciting operation. Your work as a security guard includes, among other things, working in security control and reception, as well as monitoring public areas and during hearings. You are the face of the district court and the first point of contact for visitors. Your role also includes providing support regarding the technology in our courtrooms and certain other administrative tasks. You will also be involved in the work on general security at the district court.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

a pronounced sense of service in conjunction with a very good demeanor
a security guard license and experience working as a security guard
a completed and approved high school education
good knowledge for your role as a security guard and basic knowledge and experience of general security work
normal color vision as the work with x-ray equipment requires it
good computer skills and basic technical competence
and you should be able to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and verbally in English.

As a person, you should have a strong commitment to your work and a desire to contribute to a good work environment. The work within the unit for central administration and security is primarily teamwork that requires humility, maturity, flexibility, and good collaboration and communication skills. You are unpretentious and can work both independently and in a group. As a person, you are stable and reliable. You have the ability to inspire trust and create good relationships both internally and externally. You learn from your experiences and feedback from your surroundings.

It is an advantage if you have:

experience working as a security guard in a court with good references
authorization/training for security control in court and x-ray
an interest in IT and technical issues.
previous experience of proactive security work, other relevant training in security, or previous experience in service work can also be advantageous.
