At the prison, approximately 380 employees and 18 managers work to manage, lead, and develop the operations. The largest professional group is prison officers, but administrative staff, educators, production leaders, service technicians, etc., also work at the prison. The prison accommodates over 350 inmates who are engaged in activities such as education, treatment programs, or prison production.

To reach the prison, which is located just outside Södertälje, you can take a bus from Östertälje. If you drive, you can park for free in our staff parking. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The work within the area of Other Structured Activities (ASV) involves planning, implementing, and following up on activities within the ASV operations. The purpose of the operations is to create employment during the time in prison and to reduce the negative consequences of deprivation of liberty. Activities can be both nationally established or locally adapted.

The ASV team at the prison currently consists of 10 employees responsible for, among other things, the sports hall, self-management, and music activities. We are now planning to expand and create new initiatives within the ASV operations. As a prison officer with a functional assignment in ASV, you will work with clients, primarily in groups, and initially help to launch new initiatives directly with our various client departments. Collaboration with different functions and roles within the prison is a very important part of the work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and has a good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively. You have a good understanding of people's different conditions and how individuals absorb knowledge and adapt your way of conveying your message. Since you will be driving the operations together with your colleagues, you need to have good teamwork skills and the ability to communicate clearly. The role places high demands on good judgment and integrity, as well as the ability to interact with clients and create a supportive environment in connection with ASV activities. You need to be flexible, creative, and interested in monitoring the external environment to adapt the operations according to needs. Furthermore, you need to have the physical ability to move freely, if the situation requires it.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience in leading groups
• Work experience in social care, psychiatry, or educational work
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing

It is advantageous if you have:

• Completed the basic training for prison officers
• Previous experience of ASV work within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
• Experience in practical work training
• Education in relevant fields, such as behavioral science, criminology, psychiatry, and conflict management
• Experience/education as a leisure educator/leisure leader
• Experience in artistic activities, therapy work
• Experience in gardening/nature
