Within the Health and Care Administration, we have full-time as the norm. This means that all permanent employees fundamentally have a full-time position. The Care Committee's authority is responsible for providing assistance to people with disabilities who need support in their daily lives. The authority is divided into eight units that target different groups. We are now looking for a case officer for the LSS adult unit.

Our workplace is located in the heart of Uppsala in the City Hall. Here, we work in bright, fresh premises and choose our workspace based on the tasks we need to perform. With us, you have great freedom to plan your work independently. Thanks to our digitized processing system, you also have the opportunity to work from home a few days a week.

Job Description

In the LSS adult unit, we are responsible for processing assistance for people who need support in their daily lives and who belong to the target group according to LSS. Our target group is individuals aged 18 and over who live in ordinary housing. The LSS adult unit consists of 10 case officers, a team leader, and a unit manager who provide support in cases. Your work as a case officer is characterized by a clear user perspective with a strong focus on individual participation and self-determination.

Your tasks include:

  • Receiving applications, investigating needs, making decisions, and following up on cases in close contact with the user, relatives, and others in the user's network.
  • Collaborating with other administrations, authorities, and the region.
  • Informing about the authority's assignments and services, relevant legislation, and the user's rights.
  • Actively seeking information about new rulings and using legal databases to stay updated on the legal situation.

The authority strives to be transparent towards our users and to fulfill our service obligations. At the same time, it is important that we ensure legal security and efficiency in our processing. We continuously work on development, both at the individual level and organizationally, and you have the opportunity to actively contribute to this journey.

Our operations are complex, and the pace can sometimes be high, which requires you to independently plan and prioritize your work based on the needs of the organization. Colleagues work closely together in the unit, and the team leader is available as support in cases.

We offer a solid introduction period where you will receive support from a mentor as well as access to an introduction program with training that is valuable in the role of a case officer.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. The job requires good oral and written skills in Swedish. Experience in case management and authority work is an advantage. Experience with the target group of people with disabilities is also meritorious.

As a person, you find it easy to make decisions based on available information and act accordingly. Furthermore, you are communicative and have an easy time listening and adapting your communication style. Last but not least, we are looking for someone who is good at structuring, planning, and prioritizing their work.
