About the Clinic

The Gambling Addiction and Screen Health Clinic offers CBT treatment for gambling addiction (gambling addiction) and video game addiction.

Our patients come from all over the Västra Götaland region and can seek help from us starting from the year they turn 16. Our goal is to be Sweden's leading knowledge center regarding gambling addiction and video game addiction and to disseminate current knowledge in an easily accessible way.

Treatment is provided either individually, in groups, or in the form of internet treatment. The treatments also include components from Motivational Interviewing. We work systematically with the evaluation of our treatments and integrate clinical practice with development work, quality work, and research.

At the clinic, psychologists, social workers, and administrators work together. We also have researchers and doctoral students affiliated with the clinic. The clinic is centrally located in Gothenburg at Järntorget. Please read more about our operations on our website at sahlgrenska.se.

What Do We Offer?

At the clinic, there are well-developed routines to support the work, as well as experienced and helpful colleagues. Regular supervision by a licensed psychologist will be provided. You will also participate in the clinic's weekly treatment conferences and manage your cases, and create ongoing plans for patients together with the team.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a psychologist assistant who can assist with research-related tasks at the clinic, as well as the ongoing follow-up of our treatments. Main job responsibilities will include conducting structured psychiatric assessments via phone and follow-up calls for treatment effect. In addition, you will systematically compile information for research studies and operational development. If necessary, it may also be relevant to conduct initial visits for patients at the clinic or other tasks related to the clinic's ongoing work.

The scope of work may vary over time but is estimated to be about 1-2 days per week. Parts of the work can be done remotely. It is desirable to be able to attend treatment conferences that take place on Tuesday mornings. The position is a temporary employment for one year with the possibility of extension.

About You

We are looking for someone who is a psychology student and has completed your internship period. You need to have good organizational skills and be detail-oriented. You should be able to work independently under supervision.
