Job Description

As an assistive technology consultant, you will utilize all your knowledge, experience, and creativity. Through various measures, you can make a significant difference for individuals with assistive technology needs. You will be part of a consultation team with broad expertise, where you collectively contribute to a good life for people with disabilities. You will work consultatively and provide support to healthcare providers in Västra Götaland regarding assistive technology based on your profession. You will conduct trials, adaptations, and special adaptations of assistive devices, if necessary together with our technicians. You will also contribute to developing new working methods and come up with creative ideas on how we can relieve healthcare providers.

Your main tasks include:

• providing information and advice regarding assistive technology
• offering consultative support to prescribers
• conducting training for prescribers
• participating in procurement and assortment work

As an assistive technology consultant, you have the opportunity to focus on certain product areas, and we provide ongoing development within your area of expertise. The areas you work with may vary over time, depending on the needs of the organization. The team is collectively responsible for addressing all incoming assignments from healthcare providers within the entire range of assistive technology. Which product areas become relevant depends on the applicant's profile and current resource needs.

To provide good service in the role of assistive technology consultant, you need to:

• be able to adapt based on what is happening and shift focus
• work well with others
• be organized and structured
• have good pedagogical skills
• be service-oriented

We are looking for someone who is a licensed occupational therapist or physiotherapist. You communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written. You are an experienced computer user with good knowledge of Office365 and record-keeping. You have a valid B driver's license and good driving experience, as home visits and travel within our service area for the Assistive Technology Center in Borås are required.

If you have a couple of years of experience working with assistive technology assessments, prescriptions, and trials, it is an advantage.

The position is a permanent employment with placement at the Assistive Technology Center in Borås. The recruiting manager is Lena Floberg, Unit Manager for the consultation team.
