About the Position

AnOpIVA at Sahlgrenska University Hospital (SU)/Mölndal is growing, and we need more colleagues! The role of specialist physician/consultant is primarily clinically oriented and offers work within a broad and highly specialized field in an academic environment where education, development, and research are integrated parts of daily work.

As a specialist physician with us, you will contribute to safe, effective, and high-quality anesthesia and intensive care in close collaboration with other professionals.

About AnOpIVA

AnOpIVA SU/Mölndal comprises four operating units with a total of 20 operating rooms. Our patients in anesthesia range from 1 year to over 100 years old. Many of the children and adolescents who are anesthetized have neuropsychiatric disorders, and among the older patients, there is often pronounced comorbidity. This provides a wide range of anesthesiological challenges in daily work.

The intensive care unit has six beds and provides advanced intensive care. The operations are characterized by a strong commitment to quality, patient safety, and continuous development. Adjacent to the ICU/postoperative care, there is a well-developed pain unit with active educational and training activities.

The clinic has an established research environment with good opportunities for participation in clinical research and development projects for those interested.

Responsibilities

• Clinical work in anesthesia and intensive care
• Participation in the clinic's continuing education and development work
• Supervision of resident physicians, junior colleagues, and students
• Collaboration in interdisciplinary teams around patient care.

About You

We are looking for someone with specialist competence in anesthesia and intensive care. You have an interest in quality, development, and education.

Meritorious:

• Experience in or interest in clinical research.
• Academic qualifications.
• Experience in leadership roles, such as medical director.
• Experience in organizational development, quality work, or organizational responsibility within healthcare.

We are looking for someone who works in a structured manner, takes responsibility in clinical work, and has a good ability to collaborate and make independent decisions. You collaborate well in interdisciplinary teams and contribute to a good work environment. You have an analytical and curious approach, are quality-conscious, and attentive. You are comfortable taking medical responsibility, contributing to the development of working methods, and actively participating in the clinic's quality and improvement work.
