JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

About the Workplace

In our radiology department, we have a CT scanner (GE), two MRI machines (GE), two ultrasound machines, and two devices for lungs and skeleton (Mediel).

We maintain a high level of service and accessibility. The work involves patients from public healthcare as well as patients with health insurance. Collaboration exists with several specialties within Carlanderska, such as orthopedics, urology, ENT, general surgery, and general medicine, to provide the best care and support to treating physicians. Currently, there are about 30 employees in the unit.

Job Duties

As a radiographer with us, you will primarily work within our MRI operations. All our radiographers are also placed on our conventional equipment. You should also be able to assist in our CT operations when needed. Teaching and mentoring of both colleagues and students is included.

You will work to achieve good quality in daily operations and contribute to the continuous improvement of patient safety, accessibility, patient interaction, and care quality in accordance with Carlanderska's goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed radiographer with good experience in MRI. You should be able to independently perform MRI examinations using the latest technology. A large part of our MRI operations involves orthopedics, neurology, and abdominal/vascular examinations. You should also be well acquainted with the safety procedures and patient care associated with magnetic resonance. Competence in computed tomography is an advantage.

To thrive with us, you should enjoy the combination of meeting many patients for routine visits on some days while working with complex examinations on other days. It is also important that you are structured and quality-conscious. As a person, you are engaged, responsible, and patient-focused. Being patient-focused for us means, among other things, having a good attitude and being responsive to the needs of the patient and the referring physician. This requires good collaboration skills, and communication with the team is therefore important. We also want you to be involved in improvement efforts as the operations are constantly evolving.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. The work requires good Swedish in both spoken and written form.

The position is a permanent full-time employment, but the working hours can be discussed. Start date by agreement. Currently, the working hours are Monday to Saturday, daytime and evening.
