Psychologist Focused on CBT Treatment in Gothenburg
Amedo ABVästra Götalands län, Göteborg
Previous experience is desired
We are now looking for someone who wants a clinical and active role as a psychologist in Gothenburg, with a clear focus on CBT treatment of phobias, fears, and anxiety, as well as assessment and treatment of ADHD and autism.
The position is a 40% permanent employment with the possibility of extra hours by agreement and expansion over time.
The physical work is based in Gothenburg, but the position also includes digital elements. Physical visits to the clinic take place at Södra Larmgatan 4.
The position consists of work at two different clinics within the same healthcare company with the same manager - Afobia and Amedo.
Afobia
Afobia is a private clinic focusing on evidence-based treatment of specific phobias and various forms of social anxiety, such as fear of public speaking. We have been in Stockholm since 2016 and are now establishing ourselves in Gothenburg.
At Afobia, you will work with:
- Physical treatments and exposure in Gothenburg at the clinic and in the field
- Structured assessments
- Individual CBT treatment and group formats
- Both children (from 6 years) and adults
Exposure - especially in vivo - is a central and recurring part of the work.
Work at Afobia is conducted based on a shared, structured approach with clear assessment and treatment processes.
You do not work alone in clinical decisions but as part of a shared clinical system where treatment plans, exposure principles, and pace are clearly defined and refined over time. This creates security in difficult moments and good conditions for high quality and sustainable results.
This is what Afobia offers
Clear clinical focus
You work in an organization where exposure is not an element but the core of the treatment. The work is pragmatically evidence-based with a clear emphasis on methods and components that are effective in practice.
Active and varied work
The work takes place in therapy rooms, in the field, and in environments that require movement, flexibility, and creative problem-solving.
Motivated clients
Our clients actively seek out Afobia for this type of treatment, which provides good conditions for focused and results-oriented work.
Continuous supervision
You are offered regular and continuous supervision in psychotherapeutic work for clinical assessments, treatment structure, and exposure decisions, as well as professional development.
Amedo
Amedo is a private clinic founded in 2021 that works with assessment and treatment of adults with ADHD and autism. A large part of the work is remote with occasional physical visits in central Gothenburg as needed.
In this position, work at Amedo primarily involves:
- Assessment of ADHD and autism
- Psychological treatment for ADHD and autism
- Occasional physical visits with patients in central Gothenburg
- Collaboration with specialist doctors in psychiatry and psychiatric nurses
This is what Amedo offers
You work in a structured organization with clear processes for assessment and treatment of ADHD and autism. The work is done in close collaboration with specialist doctors in psychiatry and psychiatric nurses, with shared responsibility for quality, assessments, and follow-up. Just like at Afobia, clinical relevance, transparency, and long-term helpful interventions guide the work.
