About Our Open Position

A self-sufficient role in a team where you will meet patients across all diagnostic groups.

You will work alongside other specialist nurses on medical follow-ups, assessments from a nursing perspective, and treatment. You will also have one or more days a week where you work as a care coordinator. This involves both telephone advice and handling cases in 1177, as well as acute visits. Once you feel secure with the clinic's boundaries with healthcare neighbors, you will also conduct basic assessments on new patients. There is an opportunity to focus on patient groups or treatment methods based on your experience and knowledge.

The work includes individual patient contacts where collaboration with relatives and other resource persons is involved. We welcome your interest in digital working methods as we work a lot with self-monitoring, form services, and digital healthcare meetings. Within the Psychiatric Operations Area, there is a generous attitude towards further education/development for all our employees. Regular supervision is offered to all employees.

About Us

The Adult Psychiatric Clinic in Alingsås is part of the Psychiatric Operations Area at Södra Älvsborg Hospital. The clinic serves the catchment area of Alingsås and Lerum municipalities with approximately 80,000 inhabitants. The clinic in Alingsås has excellent communication opportunities due to its location. About 60 people work here in professions such as nurses, doctors, pharmacists, caregivers, psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, secretaries, coordinators, and the head of the unit.

At the psychiatric clinic in Alingsås, we assess and treat most psychiatric conditions, providing a great variety and constant opportunities for personal growth and learning. The workgroup has consistently high competence, and several are specialist-trained. In the group of 13 nurses, there is a wide range and mix of experience levels. About 60% are specialist-trained and 40% are basic-trained. Many have worked for a long time at the clinic, and the group possesses significant competence.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse, and you are welcome to be specialist-trained in psychiatric care. You need to have at least one year of experience as a nurse, and it is a requirement that you have worked in psychiatric care. You should enjoy working in a team and have a genuine interest in psychiatry. You are confident in your professional role. As a person, you are calm, curious, innovative, open to collaboration, and contribute to creating a good atmosphere and helping others. The ability to share and utilize your colleagues' competencies is something we value highly, as our team is characterized by strong commitment. Personal suitability is of great importance.
