Site Manager for Construction Work on the Pipeline Network

The Community Building Administration is responsible for catering and cleaning, land development, urban planning and building permits, parks and green spaces, streets, water, and waste. Here, over 300 employees work together to make Ystad a great municipality to live, work, and thrive in.

The Water and Sewage Unit is responsible for the operation of waterworks, treatment plants, and pipelines, as well as planning and implementing large investments to ensure today’s tasks and develop our water services to meet future needs.

We are now looking for an engaged site manager for construction work on the pipeline network. With us, you will have a varied and developing job in a stimulating environment together with competent and experienced colleagues.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as a site manager, you will lead and drive our own construction work on the pipeline network and be responsible for project management of smaller construction projects carried out by external contractors.

In this role, you have personnel and work environment responsibility for two teams, each consisting of two pipe layers and one excavator operator. In addition to new installations and replacement of old pipes, you will also address urgent disturbances, such as water leaks.

You are responsible for the implementation of various projects, which includes planning of personnel and machinery, ordering materials, quality assurance, work environment efforts, and customer contact.

You and your unit work closely with the operations and maintenance group. Access to your own filming bus and flushing vehicle is available. The role also involves collaboration with project managers, mapping technicians, and measurement engineers.

You will follow up and ensure that applicable legislation and permits are adhered to. An important area of responsibility is to continuously work for a safe work environment together with your employees.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience as a site manager or in a similar role within a comparable field.
  • Basic knowledge of ABT 06, AB 04, AMA, and BAS-P/BAS-U.
  • Good understanding of work environment legislation.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Driver's license B.
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

You are a good communicator who contributes to a positive spirit in the workgroup. Furthermore, you plan your own and the group's work with good foresight and work in a structured manner.

On-call duty in a managerial function may be included in the position.

The position is classified in a security class, which means that a security review and background check will be conducted in connection with employment. Swedish citizenship is a requirement.
