Job Responsibilities

Malmö is developing rapidly, with many wanting to live, work, and visit our city. At Stadsfastigheter, we manage and develop Malmö City's preschools, schools, support and elderly care homes, as well as cultural and recreational facilities. We are currently in an intensive development phase aimed at creating a cohesive Malmö.

The project unit renovates and constructs new buildings on behalf of our local user administrations. The project unit is tasked with driving construction projects, and we are involved from the idea stage all the way to handing over the completed building to the local user and property manager.

We are now looking for two driven and engaged summer interns for the project unit. As a summer intern with us, you will gain a broad insight into the municipality's construction projects and work with both administrative and investigative tasks. In the project unit, you will handle invoicing and mail opening, provide simpler administrative support, and conduct various types of investigative work. Examples of previous investigative assignments include updating project templates, developing a method for forecasting calls on our framework agreements, and reviewing consulting assignments and associated invoices. This is a summer job for you who are meticulous, structured, and interested in how construction projects are managed in public operations.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone studying Civil Engineering in road and water construction and who has completed at least 2 years of the program by the summer. You also need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

As a person, you find it easy to collaborate and build relationships as the role involves many contacts, especially internally. You are meticulous, follow given guidelines, and have the ability to keep schedules even when the pace varies.

About the Workplace

Stadsfastigheter's approximately 200 employees manage Malmö city's properties for schools, childcare, elderly care, and culture. The portfolio amounts to over 1.8 million square meters and generates an annual turnover of about 2 billion SEK. Our most important task is to meet our local users' needs for well-functioning premises.

The service administration is divided into five departments and offers everything from transport services to IT and responding to citizens in Malmö city's contact center. We maintain streets, parks, green areas, and beaches, manage all of Malmö city's buildings, and ensure that our school students receive good and nutritious food.
