This is your mission
The Security Police is responsible for register control for placement in security classification for individuals who will work with or participate in security-sensitive activities. In the role of rapporteur, you will work both independently and with your colleagues on advanced tasks within several areas of responsibility in the register control process. The tasks include conducting special personal investigations, assessing and presenting the information that will be subject to disclosure during security vetting, and conducting personal interviews with individuals who will be placed in high-security classifications.
An important part of solving the mission is the many contacts you need to have, both within the agency and with other authorities such as the Police Authority and the Prosecution Authority.
Your placement is at the headquarters in Solna, and the work is performed on-site, which means that you cannot work remotely. Travel within Sweden may occur.
These are the qualifications we seek in you
Only those who meet the following requirements can be considered for the position.
Requirements:
- Academic education in law, social sciences, political science, police examination, or other education or work experience that the employer considers equivalent
- At least three years of relevant recent work experience in security protection
- High IT maturity, accustomed to working in a technology-intensive environment
- Very good ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written
- Good ability to communicate in English, both spoken and written
The position requires Swedish citizenship.
You who are applying may also have competencies that add breadth and complementary perspectives. If you can contribute with one or more of the following, it is meritorious:
- Legal advanced training, criminology, and/or security protection training
- Experience in operational intelligence work
- Experience in the fields of counterintelligence and/or violent extremism
- Experience working in law enforcement agencies
- Experience working with security vetting
- Experience in analysis-driven work
- Familiarity with the operations of the Security Police
- Work experience in the public sector or a complex organization

Employment conditions and benefits
Swedish citizenship is a requirement, as employment with the Security Police involves placement in a security classification. Employment also requires a satisfactory result in the security vetting with register control, conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act.
This is a permanent position that begins with a six-month probationary period. We apply individual salary setting. Employment comes with an obligation to be placed in a war situation.
