Description

We are now looking for an additional engaged and outgoing curator who wants to be part of our exciting initiative for a more preventive social service according to the new Social Services Act.

We are in a transitional phase where we are reviewing the operations and striving to work more preventively with advice and support in the community. You will play a central role in strengthening the social welfare of the community and contributing to creating better conditions for residents aged 20 and over who need support for harmful use, dependency, and gambling. Kompassen's outpatient care is also part of the Adult and Dependency Unit, where we have gathered Kompassen's outpatient reception, the Dependency Support Team Fenix, and authority exercise in the area. This means that the entire chain is gathered under the same unit with one and the same manager. Furthermore, Kompassen is an outpatient reception with specialist competence in addiction and dependency issues and is aimed at individuals registered in Uddevalla municipality. At Kompassen, three curators work, and the task is to provide advice and support conversations to adults with their own addiction and, based on the new Social Services Act, work more preventively and be out in the community. In addition, the reception receives relatives for support conversations. The reception is also part of the Smilla operation, which is a collaboration with the open preschool.

Responsibilities

  • Individual support and treatment conversations,
  • Leading treatment groups, family and network conversations
  • Consultative support to caregivers and colleagues within social services
  • Collaboration both within social services and with external actors

Kompassen's outpatient care is part of the Adult and Dependency Unit, where we have gathered Kompassen's outpatient reception, the Dependency Support Team Fenix, and authority exercise in the area. This means that the entire chain is gathered under the same unit with one and the same manager and means that you will need to work closely with your colleagues within the unit.

Qualifications

  • Three-year bachelor's degree equivalent to a social worker, or other equivalent education that the employer assesses is relevant.
  • Experience working with individuals with addiction/dependency and comorbidity.
  • Good Swedish in speech and writing.
  • Driver's license B.

The curator role requires that you have analytical and problem-solving abilities and that you are empathetic and persistent. Great emphasis is placed on good collaboration skills and personal suitability. You should have a strong commitment to the target group, good self-awareness, and be calm and secure in yourself. Personal suitability is of utmost importance.

Meritorious

  • Knowledge of addiction psychology.
  • Psychotherapy training Step 1.
  • Knowledge of various CBT and MI-based working methods.

Selection and interviews will take place continuously during the recruitment process.

For positions where a license/valid proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare on protected professional title is required, this must be submitted before employment.

Language assessment is conducted for certain professional groups before employment can become relevant.

Criminal record checks are conducted for all employment within the social administration.

For employment within HVB operations, an extract from the HVB home is requested.

For employment in activities aimed at children with disabilities, extracts for children with disabilities and control of one's own data are requested.

For other employment within the social administration, an extract for control of one's own data is requested.

If the extract is not digital, it must be brought in an unopened envelope in connection with the check.

Employment is subject to the necessary decisions being made. For positions where the work involves direct and regular contact with children and young people, as well as for activities within LSS, care and nursing, health care, psychiatric care, and addiction treatment, a valid extract from the police's criminal record must be presented or submitted before employment.
