About the Position

Welcome to Hagagården! Hagagården is a smaller care and nursing home with 32 residents. As a care assistant with us, you will have a coordinated responsibility where you plan, implement, and follow up on the daily work. You will work in a department focused on cognitive impairment, where you support residents in their daily activities, focusing on utilizing the individual's own abilities and resources. Here, we work in close collaboration between care assistants, service staff, nurses, occupational therapists, unit managers, and relatives. Together, we have a common perspective that permeates the care work, working from a rehabilitative approach where the resident is at the center. We stimulate and motivate independent activity by being attentive in our interactions with our residents. The role includes being a contact person for one or more of our residents.

Examples of Job Duties:

• provide service and personal care based on the resident's individual needs and goals
• establish and follow up on individual implementation plans together with the resident and work from a structured approach
• build trusting relationships with the resident and relatives and, as a contact person, be responsible for the individual care and nursing process
• collaborate primarily with residents but also with relatives, occupational therapists, nurses, and colleagues based on the resident's needs and wishes
• use the digital operational systems required by the organization and document in accordance with laws, guidelines, and routines

About the Workplace

Hagagården is a care and nursing home located in the idyllic Glanshammar, about 15 km from Örebro. Nearby is Hjälmaren with the beautiful Ässundet. We have 32 places, of which 19 are focused on cognitive impairment, where four places are for respite and short-term care, and 13 places are for somatic care. We work based on Örebro municipality's value base with the individual's needs in focus (IBIC). Our ambition is to provide our residents with a safe and meaningful existence based on their individual needs, where care and nursing are adapted accordingly. Bus connections are available but are limited in the evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

As a care assistant, you are confident in yourself and have good self-awareness. You are expected to work both independently and closely with colleagues. Being attentive and accommodating in your interactions, both with colleagues and residents, is a given for you. Furthermore, you easily adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities in changes. Additionally, you master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with residents, relatives, and colleagues, as well as document what the organization requires. Since the work involves digital documentation in operational systems, good computer skills are required.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• proof of protected professional title, or be covered by transitional regulations (permanently employed care assistant as of July 1, 2023)

Meritorious:

• experience in care and nursing
• experience working with individuals with cognitive impairment
• experience working in documentation and operational systems

Scope and Start Date

Working hours: scheduled day, evening, and every other weekend

Other Information

As of July 1, 2023, care assistant is a protected professional title. This means that you will need proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare to be employed as a care assistant. While waiting for your proof, it is possible to be employed as a care aide. If you had a permanent position as a care assistant on July 1, 2023, you may continue to use the title.
