Are you a driven and curious nursing assistant who finds emergency care and advanced nursing exciting? Do you have previous experience in hospital care and now want to develop and learn more? We are currently looking for a nursing assistant at the Neuro Intermediate Care Unit (NIMA) at Örebro University Hospital!
Here, patients are cared for who are too ill to be treated on a regular ward, but do not require intensive care. Our specialty is neurosurgery, but we also care for other patients from most departments in the hospital. We are looking for a nursing assistant who wants to work with more advanced care, who easily takes instructions, finds emergency care exciting, and has no problem learning to handle medical technical equipment. We provide you with training and introduction to help you grow into your new role as a nursing assistant in the intermediate care unit. The department is located at the top of building H and has six care places.
We offer you a stimulating and developing job with regular internal training within our area of expertise. We are a small staff group and continuously work on development projects, having together created a pleasant and stimulating workplace where everyone is given the opportunity to develop and contribute with their different experiences and ideas. With us, patients are continuously monitored, and there is competence to care for patients with tracheostomy, ventricular drains, ICP monitoring, and BiPaP. Here you will have the opportunity to work with more advanced tasks and utilize your full competence as a nursing assistant!

Job Responsibilities
The job includes standard nursing assistant tasks as well as more advanced tasks, such as taking care of patients with continuous monitoring of vital parameters, perioperative care, care of tracheostomy patients, and assisting doctors with the insertion of arterial needles, CVK, etc. Every shift is different! We work closely with our patients in a team with nursing assistants, nurses, doctors, and physiotherapists. As a nursing assistant, you participate in both the monitoring of our patients and their care.

Qualifications
We welcome you who are a trained nursing assistant, preferably with a focus on emergency care according to the previous program structure, or are a trained nursing assistant within the current program structure. To assess employability, transcripts from your nursing education and proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare of your protected professional title must be attached to your application.
We are looking for you who are a nursing assistant with at least 2 years of work experience in the profession. Experience from hospital care is an advantage. We place great emphasis on personal qualities such as high social competence, responsiveness, and ability to collaborate. We are looking for someone who has drive and the ability to take responsibility for their own development, that you take your own initiative is necessary, and that you are involved in the development work of the organization.

The application should include a CV, cover letter, and transcripts of completed nursing courses as well as any proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare of your protected professional title. Other certificates, grades, diplomas, etc. should be submitted at a possible interview.
