About the Position
As we expand our operations, we need more dedicated nursing colleagues. The positions are located in our departments focused on cognitive impairment. You will be responsible for the care of a number of residents and work in a team with your nursing colleagues, occupational therapist, nursing staff, and unit manager. We also collaborate with doctors and physiotherapists from the region.
To thrive in the role of a nurse with us, we believe you are passionate about creating a safe and meaningful care environment for our residents with cognitive impairment. We also believe that you, as an applicant, are a confident nurse, especially in one of the positions where you will be particularly responsible for individuals with BPSD symptoms.
For the upcoming year, we will conduct a pilot project where you, as a nurse with us, will work daytime and every sixth weekend.

Examples of Responsibilities:
- decide, implement, and follow up on nursing actions and medical measures
- supervise and instruct nursing staff
- work from a rehabilitative approach
- be responsible for supervising students
- document in our operational systems to ensure safe care for our residents
- collaborate with the work group based on individual needs
- participate in developing work methods and approaches within our operations together with the rest of the work group
About the Workplace
Elgströmska House is located in Mellringe and has 69 places designated for individuals with cognitive impairment and 20 places designated for short-term care. We have a strong focus on zero-vision work and person-centered care.
As a nurse with us, you will be primarily placed at Elgströmska House but belong to the Väster 1 area in the new healthcare organization. Väster 1 includes Adrianska House, Löwenhjelmska House, and Elgströmska House. Read more about Elgströmska House at orebro.se/elgstromska!
The area of care and support is part of the Social Administration. The operations include care and support, preventive work, authority exercise in the field, as well as housing placement and housing adaptation. Within the area of Care and Support, we work to support and assist people who need care, support, or assistance in their daily lives.
Qualifications
As a nurse, you are confident in yourself and have good self-awareness. You take responsibility for your tasks in an independent and structured way and enjoy having your own areas of responsibility. Being attentive and accommodating in your interactions, both with colleagues and residents, is a given for you. You are clear in your communication and have the ability to ensure that information is conveyed. Additionally, you easily adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities in changes. Furthermore, you master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with residents and other staff, as well as document what the operations require. Since the work involves digital documentation in operational systems, good computer skills are required.
We place great importance on personal suitability.
Requirements:
- licensed nurse
- driver's license B
Meritorious:
- experience working as a nurse
- experience working with individuals with cognitive impairment
- experience working in geriatrics
- experience with documentation and operational systems such as Treserva, Lifecare, Pascal, and Senior Alert
- specialist training such as district nurse, geriatrics, or psychiatry
Scope and Start Date
Employment type: permanent position
Employment rate: 100%
Start date: by agreement
Number of positions: 2-3. Positions will be filled if necessary decisions are made.
Working hours: daytime and every sixth weekend.
