Do you want to work with broad general pediatrics in a flexible and development-oriented team with a good atmosphere? We are looking for a new colleague to Stora Holmen, Örebro, one of our pediatric outpatient clinics.

In Region Örebro, there are three pediatric outpatient clinics - Örebro/Hallsberg (located at Stora Holmen), Karlskoga, and Lindesberg. The decision-making paths are short, and there is close cooperation with good team spirit.

The Stora Holmen children's clinic in Örebro, which also includes the southern part of the county, has a catchment area of about 54,000 children and adolescents aged 0 - 17 years. The clinics are staffed by doctors, nurses, and medical care administrators. Access to a dietitian and physiotherapist is available at USÖ. Stora Holmen is located in a beautiful building next to USÖ. The clinic has a well-developed collaboration with primary care and other stakeholders regarding children. There is an opportunity for individual and flexible arrangements of the position with various combinations of clinic, research, and other pediatric subspecialties such as allergy.

The research activity within the area of operations is high, which means there are good opportunities to conduct research and development.

Within the area of pediatric and adolescent medicine, we conduct a broad pediatric operation and have good competence in many subspecialty areas. Here, there is a neonatal department, a pediatric ward for children and adolescents with both medical and surgical conditions, a mobile children's team, a pediatric outpatient clinic, day care, and three pediatric outpatient clinics. At the pediatric clinic, dietitians, social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, teachers, and play therapists work closely together with each other and with other healthcare staff. The operation has over 230 employees.

Job Responsibilities

General pediatrics includes the investigation, treatment, and follow-up of conditions such as asthma, allergies, obesity, growth disorders, celiac disease, and pain problems. The position includes mentoring younger colleagues and teaching and supervising medical students. On-call duty may be relevant.

Qualifications

Consultant/Specialist in pediatric and adolescent medicine, preferably with experience in general pediatrics. Good collaboration skills, flexibility, and a drive to develop the operation are qualities we value. Great consideration is given to personal suitability.
