About the Position

As a nurse with us at Västerpark, you will be part of a team that includes nurses, occupational therapists, care staff, and unit managers. Our facility focuses on somatic care and cognitive impairment. We work to create security and a meaningful everyday life for our tenants.

In the role of coordinating nurse, you will play an important part in coordinating and prioritizing daily planning, in addition to daily care tasks. Examples of Responsibilities:

• decide, implement, and follow up on care measures
• be responsible for guidance and training in care
• instruct and delegate health and medical tasks to care staff
• maintain contact and provide support to relatives
• document in various quality registers and operational systems

With a coordinating role, the following responsibilities will also be included:

• coordinate and support prioritization and distribution of daily planning
• coordinate contacts with MAS, MAR, SAS, and other internal and external actors
• plan and regularly follow up on systematic patient safety work according to the annual wheel
• assess competency needs, coordinate training efforts, and monitor the knowledge area of health and medical care
• follow and clarify the goals and direction of the operations and work towards a common approach. This means ensuring that policies, guidelines, and routines are followed and revised as needed
• in collaboration with the administration and management organization, be responsible for scheduling and both short- and long-term staffing planning

About the Workplace

Västerpark is a care and nursing home that opened on September 1, 2022. Västerpark has 80 rental apartments distributed over four floors, three of which focus on cognitive impairment and one on somatic care. The facility is centrally located in Väster, about two km from Örebro central station.

As a nurse at Västerpark, you will be part of the Health and Medical Care Organization (HS) where we gather all nurses and occupational therapists within the municipality's care and nursing homes under one organization. This way, we can create better conditions, equal care, and protect Örebro municipality's health and medical resources. For you as a nurse, it also means that you will have a manager who is a licensed professional and thus well-informed about the issues you face in your work. The licensed staff belonging to the health and medical care organization at Västerpark currently consists of six nurses and two occupational therapists.

Qualifications

As a nurse, you are confident in yourself and have good self-awareness. You enjoy having your own areas of responsibility and take responsibility for your tasks independently. Being attentive and accommodating in your interactions, both with colleagues and tenants, is a given for you. You are clear in your communication and have the ability to ensure that information is conveyed. Additionally, you easily adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities and solutions in what you face. Furthermore, you master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with tenants/customers/patients and other staff, as well as document what the operations require. Since the work involves digital documentation in operational systems, good computer skills are required.

Requirements:

• licensed nurse
• driver's license B
• several years of experience as a nurse in municipal health and medical care

Meritorious:

• further education in geriatrics
• trained district nurse
• experience working in operational systems such as MCSS, NPÖ, Pascal, Treserva, Senior Alert, BPSD register, palliative register

Scope and Start Date

Employment type: permanent position

Employment rate: 100% (38.25 hours/week)
